Bug Racetrack
Yes, it is a true story. Dad said "no" and the girl made her own as evidenced by the live-action sequence. And yes, Dad was proud of her.

Wall removed for over her shoulder shot
We made this movie in February 2015 using a recycled set from another movie. Once we finished this movie, we recycled the set and used it again. The walls are removeable so we can do over-the-shoulder shots for both minifigures. Generally, we try to combine parts from different minifigures for our main characters in order to make them look more unique. The daughter is made of parts from four different minifigures. Another reason we do this is because we simply don't have enough girls. Male minifigure parts significantly outnumber female minifigure parts.
The end of 2c
In the photograph above, there is a note that says "END OF 2c." The reason for this is as follows:
Movies are sequences of images, accompanied by sound, that tell a story. Making a movie means taking and organizing a lot of pictures. A movie is made up of scenes which are small, continuous parts of the story, usually in a single location. Each scene consists of shots which are changes of the camera position within a scene. Each shot is composed of discrete photographs or frames.
We organize our movies in terms of scenes, shots, and frames. Each scene of a movie is given a number and each shot within a scene is given a letter. The picture above was taken after the last frame of scene/shot 2c. Since we film things out of order, we take pictures like the above (with a note) as an aid to help us preserve continuity within a scene.
